Biography

Ran Wang is a Chinese baritone currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) under the guidance of Professor Mark Wildman.
During his time at the RNCM, Ran Wang performed the role of Il Conte in Nina, o sia La pazza per amore by Giovanni Paisiello and Guglielmo in Così fan tutte as part of RNCM Opera Scenes. His previous engagements include ensemble singing in Johann Strauss II's Die Fledermaus and Rimsky-Korsakov's The Snow Maiden, both for RNCM Opera. He also appeared at the Manchester premiere of Leonard Bernstein's MASS at The Bridgewater Hall.
In concert, Ran Wang has performed in London, Edinburgh, Tokyo, Chunchon, Chengdu, and Manchester, collaborating with conductors such as David Parry, Matthew Kofi Waldren, Alec-Frank Gemmill, Rosina Flueckiger, and Clark Rundell. He has also participated in masterclasses including Ann Murray DBE, Matthew Rose, Lucas Meachem, Susanna Stranders, Audrey Hyland, Russell Smythe, David Butt Philip, and Malcolm Martineau OBE.
